Modular Cranes was established by Tony Ciantar in 1998, after 20 years of working
on bridge cranes in Australia.
First of all, the company name had to reflect the reason why the company was
established and that is to supply a Modular overhead crane range from pre-engineered,
tried and tested crane components, guaranteeing reliability and long term parts availability.
Most of the other crane suppliers where treating each order as a one off project, designing and manufacturing cranes on a one off basis, using various component suppliers as the need arose. This method was costly, inefficient and did not produce a quality and reliable product and could not guarantee long term parts availability due to the numerous component suppliers involved.
The Modular concept proved very successful and nowadays we can offer overhead cranes
ranging from 500 kg up to 100 tonne capacities in a Modular package. The same product we
offer in Australia can be purchased in 40 countries around the world. With annual production
exceeding 9000 units, reliability is extremely important.
